The short video invokes the image of Rosa Parks as Pelosi states that women have always been a part of every movement “for change” in U.S. history.

“Please join me in standing with Barack Obama and saying that enough is enough of the Bush-McCain failed policies which have hurt Michigan’s working families,” Pelosi said in the 36-second video, which is posted on YouTube.

Pelosi calls on voters to go to mi.barackobama.com to find out how to volunteer for Obama. “The campaign for change begins in Michigan,” Pelosi said.

The video follows Pelosi’s introduction of Obama at a California fundraiser on Sunday. Obama raised $7.8 million at a trio of fundraisers in the Golden State.

Michigan is considered a battleground state in the presidential race. Obama has a 3.2 percent lead over GOP candidate John McCain in the RealClearPolitics average of polls.

On Tuesday, Kansas Gov. Kathleen Sebelius, who is thought to be on Obama’s shortlist for vice president, will visit Michigan to launch Michigan Women for Obama. She will be joined by Michigan Sen. Debbie Stabenow (D), according to Obama’s website.
